Windows XP Dialup Setup:

To connect to the Internet using Windows XP, you need to have the "Dial-up Networking", the "Dial-up Adapter" and the "TCP/IP Protocol" installed.

1. Double click the "My Computer" icon, click on "Control Panel" on the left.
2. Click on "Network and Internet Connections"
3. Click on "Set up or change your Internet connection"
4. Click on the  "Setup" button. This will open the Connection Wizard. Click next.
5. Select "Connect to the Internet" and click next.
6. Select "Set up  my connection manually" and click next.
7.  Select "Connect using a dial-up modem" and click next.
8. Enter "Kern Internet" for the ISP name. Click next.
9. Enter the phone number to connect to Kern Internet.  837-9886, click next.
10. Enter your PPP username and password. Remember, your username always starts with a capital "P" and the rest is lower case. Leave the three option boxes checked. Click next
11. Click finish
